“A rising independent star on the U.K Scene…” – Billboard

“Powerful and affecting music…” Harper’s Bazaar

Hannah Rose Platt is an acclaimed singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and storyteller, who merges the sinister authorial prowess of Nick Cave and Tom Waits, with the incandescent vocals of Mazzy Star and PJ Harvey.

Using genre as a vehicle for story, Hannah weaves magic into the mundane exploring beauty in the shadows, infusing emotive, versatile soundscapes with multi-faceted narratives and plot twists. Born and raised in Liverpool where she wrote her first songs and began cutting her teeth on the local live circuit, Hannah Rose Platt is now based in Bristol where she has become an established figure on the UK music scene.

Championed by broadcasters including Sid Griffin, Baylen Leonard, Ralph McLean and Bob Harris, Hannah has also gained regular airplay on the BBC as well as national and international radio. Dubbed as “a rising independent star on the UK scene” by Billboard, the artist has also been praised as “a captivating artist… destined for musical stardom” by Glamour with Harper’s Bazaar describing her music as “powerful and affecting”.

Working with leading names including Grammy Award-winning musicians Mark Fain (Ricky Skaggs, Dolly Parton), Stuart Duncan (Emmylou Harris, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss) and Andrea Zonn (James Taylor) during her career to date; most recently Hannah has been working alongside artist and producer Ed Harcourt on her debut for Xtra Mile Recordings: ‘Deathbed Confessions’, and mini horror show EP 'Hypnagogia', featuring narration from BAFTA nominated actor David Morrissey.

Following on from her artful, articulate ‘Deathbed Confessions’ , Hannah returns with a emotively executed concept record to rival it.

Anatomising the complex relationship between women and medicine throughout history, ‘Fragile Creatures’ explores how centuries-old myths and misconceptions in the pursuit of science have impacted female health, while creating countless injustices and inequalities. Opening the door to this mysterious, medicinal world is the captivating first single ‘Curious Mixtures’ - streaming now. Guided with her trademark siren-esque vocals, this witchy dream-pop folk song invites listeners to slink through an ancient moonlit woodland and become a silent observer to a midwife as she goes about her work in the dead of night.

Mastered at Abbey Road alongside the other 10 tracks that comprise her upcoming album, ‘Fragile Creatures’ also sees her continuing her creative partnership with Ed Harcourt, who produces and performs on the record.

Fragile Creatures’ will be released worldwide, on Xtra Mile Recordings 25 April, 2025, available on vinyl, CD and digitally.

Hannah uses Fender, Gibson and Vox guitars and is proudly endorsed by Tech 21 NYC.

‘It’s been absolutely wonderful working with the absolutely spectacular Hannah Rose Platt on her third record; Hannah has a truly gorgeous voice, a wicked way with words, and we’ve created a sonic Jackson Pollock of blood and sweat... the Wolf Cabin turned into a Tim Burton / David Lynch film ... the album is magnifique...’
